Have you ever eaten lunch at record speed because dessert was calling your name like a siren song? Same. And apparently, so did the geniuses behind Two Keys Bakery—because they created desserts so good they make dinner feel like a speed bump.
This family-owned Orange County bakery serves up homemade cookies, pies, cakes, cheesecakes, and other dangerously delicious treats. Led by professional pastry chef Johnny Barragan and his partner Sabrina, Two Keys Bakery proves that love, butter, and talent are a powerful combination.
Let’s talk about my ride-or-die: the 9-inch Savory Cheese Tart. Layers of Gruyère and Pepper Jack baked into a flaky crust so good it deserves its own fan club. I can confidently say this is the best cheese tart that has ever crossed these lips—and I do not say that lightly.
Now, the cookies. Absolute chaos.
The Chocolate Chip Cookies are made with brown butter and honey and will ruin all other chocolate chip cookies for you. They’re $12 for half a dozen or $22 for a dozen—basically a bargain considering the emotional support they provide.
The Peanut Butter Cookies (same price) come loaded with brown sugar and roasted peanuts and are dangerously easy to inhale.
The Snickerdoodles? Cinnamon, vanilla bean, and pure joy.
And then there was the pie. A beautiful chocolate masterpiece layered with ganache, peanut butter, chocolate mousse, and a brownie base. It was so pretty we didn’t want to cut into it—but we’re not monsters, so we did. Zero regrets. It was outstanding, decadent, and disappeared faster than you can say “just one more bite.”
Bottom line: these desserts will absolutely make you wolf down lunch just to get to the good part.
