Fishbar

Last night, we rolled into Fishbar with two other couples, ready to eat like sea kings. First victory: parking in the city without tears—the lot was open and even the street had spots. It was like the universe wanted us to have seafood.

We kicked things off with cocktails, calamari, and the flash-fried Brussels sprouts. The calamari was crispy perfection, but those sprouts? Crowned with crispy little fried onions like a vegetable wearing jewelry. Absolute star of the appetizer show.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese deserves its own standing ovation. It was less a side dish and more a dairy-powered supernova—rich, creamy, and portioned to feed an entire ship’s crew. The salmon with a loaded baked potato? Like surf and turf but make it elegant. Meanwhile, the shrimp, scallop, and bacon skewers were basically seafood kabobs sent from the heavens, especially with the garlic fries. And yes, grilled shrimp skewers with coleslaw kept things lighter—but still ridiculously tasty.

The clam chowder came loaded with clams and potatoes, no skimpy portions here. Dipping sourdough bread into it was one of those life-changing food moments where you stop talking mid-sentence because your mouth is too busy being happy.

Dessert? Not a chance. Our stomachs waved the white flag. But next time, we’re bringing reinforcements.

Service? Friendly, fun, and fast. Vibe? Casual but polished—the kind of place you can wear jeans and still feel fancy when your chowder spoon clinks just right.

Final verdict: Fishbar, you hooked us. We’ll be back—probably still fighting over the Brussels sprouts.
