I’ve been ordering cakes from Hansen’s Cakes for years, but this floral basket moment? Oh… she’s the main character, the supporting cast, and the closing credits.

For a birthday luncheon for 35, I knew exactly what I wanted and planned ahead. I ordered a 10-inch Italian marble cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate chip filling, finished with a white buttercream floral basket in pinks and purples—no pearlized finish, just soft, dreamy, garden party perfection.

The second I cracked open that box… I audibly gasped. Like, who gave them the right?? She was stunning. I almost didn’t want to cut into it… almost.

And then we did—and thank God we did because it was DELICIOUS. Everyone kept going on about the chocolate chips in the buttercream, and honestly? They’re right. That’s the move. That’s the moment.

Also, this cake is massive. It easily served 35 without breaking a sweat.

Customer service was excellent, everything was smooth, and pickup was quick and easy.

At this point, I fear I’ve set a standard for myself. Birthdays without this cake? Unclear. Unlikely. Not my journey.
