Hibye Coffee

As part of my very serious responsibilities as a Yelp Elite Black (you’re welcome, Westlake Village), I visited Hibye Coffee — and let’s just say… I’ve found my new pink-lit personality trait. 💖

Located on Russell Ranch Road in the Target shopping center, this little lounge gives cozy zodiac café meets “why don’t I work from here every day?” vibes. The pink lighting? Flattering. The zodiac-themed menu? Adorable. My Aries heart felt personally validated.

But let’s talk about what really made this visit unforgettable: the customer service.

Max, the owner, greeted us like we were long-lost friends instead of first-time customers. The kind of welcome where you instantly relax and think, “Okay yes, I’m staying awhile.” He was warm, genuine, and clearly loves what he’s building here. AND — because he is officially winning at hospitality — he made a special Pup Cup for Murphy the Doodle. 🐾

That level of thoughtfulness? You can’t teach it. It made an outstanding first impression and completely elevated the experience.

Now, onto the drinks — creative, delicious, and clearly crafted with intention. We ordered the Leo (Organic Vanilla + Sea Salt Caramel Latte) and it was smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet — bold but refined. Would absolutely order again.

They also offer all your classics — espressos, Americanos, cappuccinos — plus Vietnamese coffee and Spanish lattes when you’re feeling adventurous.

And the smoothies? Yes, they come with a higher price tag — but once you see what’s going into them, it makes perfect sense. No mystery syrups here. Just high-quality ingredients.

Blue Hawaiian — pineapple, banana, spirulina coconut oil, coconut milk, vegan protein, vanilla syrup-like a tropical vacation that also does yoga.
Super Fruit — strawberries, bananas, blueberries, vitamin C powder. Basically wellness in a cup.

Now let’s have a moment for the Truffle Me Avocado Toast because she deserves applause. 👏 Organic sourdough, organic avocado, Himalayan sea salt, lemon juice, olive oil, and truffle oil. Elevated. Luxurious. Main-character brunch energy.

We also devoured the Ham & Gruyère Croissant — flaky, savory, and gone way too quickly.

Bottom line: Hibye Coffee doesn’t just serve drinks — they serve hospitality. The vibe is cute. The food is delicious. But the exceptional, memorable customer service is what makes this place special.

We’ll absolutely be back. Murphy is already expecting another Pup Cup.
