Confessions of a Non-Vegan Donut Convert 🍩
I’m never one to chase after anything labeled vegan or gluten-free, but today, Holey Grail Donuts stopped me in my tracks while strolling down Larchmont Boulevard. Fresh, hot donuts made to order? Yes, please — resistance was futile.
I went straight for the Cosmic Churro, where cinnamon, vanilla bean, and sugar swirl together in one glorious, golden halo of fried perfection. It was so good I may or may not have inhaled it in three bites (no regrets).
A glance at the menu had me mentally planning my next dozen: the Rick Martinez — a wild mix of raspberry, dragon fruit, coconut, and dulce de leche — sounds like a tropical vacation in donut form. And the Hail Mary, with cardamom and sea salt? Divine intervention, clearly.
So yeah… looks like I’ll be giving in to my vegan urges again very soon.
