Honey Cup Calabasas

Honey Cup Café: Where Croissants Flirt and Calories Don’t Count 🍰☕🐾

You know that moment when caffeine isn’t optional but a matter of survival? Yeah, that was us today in Calabasas. Luckily, we stumbled upon Honey Cup Café, and let me tell you — it’s like walking into a buttery, coffee-scented hug.

Perched on the northern end of Las Virgenes Road, this little gem looks unassuming from the outside… until you step inside and realize it’s basically pastry heaven run by Chef Andon Truja — a Greek-born, French-trained wizard of butter. Everything here is homemade. Everything. I’ve literally tasted the butter and can confirm: it’s real, it’s glorious, and it might have ruined all other butter for me.

The patio was perfect for our pooches — they got prime people-watching spots while we got to eat enough carbs to make a dietician weep. Inside, it’s all clinking cups, flaky pastry layers, and that faint hum of “I’m never leaving.” Of course, we started with coffee (because we all need that mid-morning shot of caffeine) and it was bliss!

Next, because self-control is overrated, we went all in. First up: the tuna and hard-boiled egg baguette — basically yum on a roll. We also had the Prosciutto with Brie and Fig Jam. Then came the Ham and Cheese Croissant, which deserves its own fan club (I volunteer as president). The Salami and Cheese Croissant came in hot as the runner-up — still swoon-worthy, just slightly less flirtatious.

And just when you think we’d stop there… please. Dessert was non-negotiable. The Strawberry Cruffin (vanilla bean, strawberry compote, French meringue) was love at first bite. The Crème Brûlée cracked just right — like ASMR for your soul — and the Carrot Cake was the kind of moist, spicy perfection that makes you question your life choices (mainly: why didn’t I order two?).

Honey Cup might be the new kid in town, but it’s already the teacher’s pet — charming, sweet, and impossible not to love.

If you’re in Calabasas, do yourself a favor: follow the smell of butter and happiness. 🥐✨
