🍽️ My Experience at Il Nido
First of all—this place is a jewel box.
Twinkle lights everywhere, cozy energy, and just enough ambiance to make you feel like your life is together.
We were greeted by Robert (manager, icon, clearly running the show), and our server Luca basically took over from there—in the best way.
At some point we stopped making decisions and just trusted Luca completely.
No regrets.
We sat near the front, which is definitely the move if you want to actually hear the people you came with (unlike the back, which felt like a full dinner party).
⭐ The Food
Let’s talk about the real star—THE FOOD.
We started with drinks—beer + sparkling rosé—because balance.
Then came the apps.
The Panzanella salad (special):
👉 Fresh, light, very “I’m making good choices”…
but I’m not going to lie, I wanted more bread. I said what I said.
The calamari:
👉 Crispy, perfect, disappeared in seconds. No notes.
Then the mains hit—and things got serious.
The Cacio e Pepe:
👉 Creamy, peppery, perfectly balanced—simple but absolutely doing the most.
The Eggplant Parmesan (special):
👉 Rich, comforting, and immediately claimed by my friend…who did not share.
We all noticed.
The Chicken Milanese:
👉 Thin, crispy, topped with a fresh lemony salad—this one felt like we were being responsible. (We were not.)
The Chicken Marsala:
👉 Mushrooms, marsala sauce, roasted potatoes—comfort food, but elevated.
At some point we all just stopped talking and focused on eating…which honestly tells you everything.
🙌 Service
Warm, attentive, and almost suspiciously good.
Like…why is everyone so nice??
