We started with a lovely Sauvignon Blanc and Arnold Palmers (balance ✨), then dove straight into happiness. The panzerotto—folded, fried pizza stuffed with mozzarella and meat—arrived and immediately commanded respect. It’s enormous. If I were at home, I’d pick it up like nature intended, but in public I used a fork and knife like a civilized adult.
Then came “Quando nasce un amore”—homemade bread with tapenade and semi-dried cherry tomatoes. When love is born… so is my appetite. I may or may not have eaten all three pieces. I did. I regret nothing.
For mains, we had the Franco Salmone in Crosta di Pistaccio, a pistachio-crusted salmon fillet with cauliflower, and the Pia Spaghetti alla Chitarra ai Gamberi—that gorgeous square-cut, porous guitar spaghetti with blue shrimp. Let me be clear: this pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten in my life. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and say, “Wow.” 🤌🤌🤌
Dessert? Ovviamente. Because who says no? The Anima Gemella Millefoglie arrived looking like it should have its own spotlight. Delicate layers of pastry, Italian Chantilly cream, strawberries, blueberries—absolutely stunning and even better than it looks. A true showstopper. Applause was deserved.
Shoutout to our wonderful server Shelby—poised, warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without hovering. We will 100% be requesting her when we come back. And yes—we will be back.
La Puglia, you have our hearts. And our stomachs. And soon… our kitchen cabinets. 🇮🇹❤️🍷
