Who stands out in the rain on a Saturday morning waiting in line for a bagel?
✨ Absolutely everyone at Layla’s. ✨
And honestly? We’d do it again…in worse weather.
We rolled up after Dog Ppl with our pooch, just to look, and somehow ended up living our best carb-forward life. These bagels are boiled AND baked, which immediately puts them in the “don’t question the line, join it” category.
Inside, the shop is beautifully designed—think minimalist bagel chic—with merch, pantry goodies, and a pastry case that whispers “you deserve this.” The Chocolate Chipper cookie? Possibly one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten. I don’t want to share it. I am sharing it. I am unhappy about that. The banana bread, babka muffin, and other baked goods are all plotting against your willpower.
Now, the main event:
Bagels for days—plain, everything, sesame, poppy, jalapeño, plus gluten-free options. We ordered The Bruce (tuna salad, avocado, arugula, tomato, pickles on an everything bagel), which I am actively eating while typing this because self-control is a myth. It’s giving crunchy, creamy, briny, chewy, full sensory joy. We also crushed an everything bagel with plain cream cheese (other flavors include herb, scallion, and cashew plain).
Coffee check ☕️: fantastic. Get the Salted Maple Latte unless you hate happiness.
Yes, there’s a line.
Yes, it moves.
Yes, it’s worth it.

The hype is real. The bagels are elite. The bellies are full.
We love you, Layla’s. Never change. 🥯💛
