Manhattan Beach Creamery

If happiness had a street address in Manhattan Beach, it would absolutely be Manhattan Beach Creamery.

I walked in thinking, “I’ll just grab a frozen banana.”
I walked out questioning all my life decisions… because HOW do you choose a treat when 28 small-batch, hand-crafted ice cream flavors are staring at you like a delicious beauty pageant?

We’re talking Maple Bacon Crunch (breakfast meets dessert, and I support this relationship), Strawberry Cheesecake (basically a hug in a scoop), Bananas Foster (dramatic, caramelized, iconic)… plus 25 other flavors whispering, “Pick me.” It’s chaos. It’s creamy. It’s wonderful.

And let’s discuss toppings. Oreos? Of course. Sprinkles? Naturally. Fresh fruit, hot fudge, whipped cream mountain? Go big or go home. You can build a sundae so tall it needs its own zip code. Or commit to the legendary Banana Split and fully lean into dessert glory.

Then there’s the Cream’wich — invented here, like some sort of cookie-and-ice-cream genius move. Choose your ice cream. Choose your cookies. Create your destiny.

But I stayed focused. I came for the frozen banana.

Friends… the chocolate coating is THICK. Not “cute little dip” thick. I’m talking armored, crackly, several-minutes-of-commitment thick. You bite. You crunch. You question your jaw strength. And then — sweet, creamy banana victory.

And don’t even get me started on the candy apples lined up in colorful rows like glossy edible ornaments. They’re so pretty you feel bad biting them. (You’ll bite them anyway.)

If you need me, I’ll be “just grabbing one thing” at Manhattan Beach Creamery again. Strictly for research purposes. 🍌🍦
