🍸 Mediterraneo – Westlake Village Inn 🍸
If Tuscany and SoCal had a baby, it would be Mediterraneo. Think cobblestones, wrought iron, and lake views so pretty you’ll forget you’re still in L.A. traffic range. The remodel? Gorgeous. We landed in a plush semi-circle booth that practically whispered, “order cocktails.”
🥂 Bloody Marys – Basically a meal in a glass. Bold, spicy, and loaded with so many green olives I thought I’d accidentally ordered a charcuterie board on ice. No regrets.
🍳 Eggs Benedict – Poached to perfection, hollandaise that could win awards, Canadian bacon doing its salty-savory thing. Two people at the table inhaled it like they hadn’t seen food in days.
🐟 Smoked Salmon Plate – A stunner. Capers, red onion, tomatoes, cream cheese, and a bagel so fresh it disappeared in seconds. This dish didn’t stand a chance.
🥗 Cobb Salad – Piled high with grilled chicken, blue cheese, avocado, bacon (!!!), and drizzled with a red wine vinaigrette so good I considered asking for a to-go bottle. (If you see me sneaking into their kitchen with a mason jar, look the other way.)
Bottom line: Mediterraneo nails the “vacation without leaving town” vibe. Come hungry, bring friends, and maybe pack an extra bag for all the olives. We’re already plotting dinner here next.
