Sam’s Bagels

Sam’s Bagels: A Little Taste of Heaven… and Maybe Brooklyn

Discovery:
I stumbled upon Sam’s Bagels on Montana completely by accident—like a true wanderer following the scent of freshly baked carbs. One whiff and suddenly I was transported to my grandmother’s kitchen, minus the guilt trip about not calling more.

Vibe:
Sam’s is delightfully low-frills—no artisanal farm-to-table nonsense, no $27 “deconstructed” schmear. Just real bagels, real fast. The staff is so friendly you’ll wonder if they were raised by bubbes.

Bagels (AKA the Main Event):
These beauties are chef’s-kiss perfection:

  • Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside (as God intended).
  • Hearty in size—none of that sad, skinny “wellness bagel” business.
  • About 10 classic flavors, all fresh enough to make a grown mensch kvell.

Schmear & Extras:
There are multiple cream cheese options (oy vey!) and even a lox sandwich that could mend family feuds.

Seating Situation:
Inside seating is… how should I put this… limited. Let’s call it “intimate.” If you snag a table, consider it a mitzvah. Otherwise, plan to take your gorgeous bagel baby to-go.

Bottom Line:
Sam’s serves honest, delicious bagels that would make your ancestors proud. I love this place, and I’ll be back so soon they may start asking if I want my usual.
