I came for lunch and left emotionally attached.
First of all—FREE parking at Sunset Plaza?? In LA?? I almost ordered dessert just to celebrate that alone.
We grabbed a table on the front patio and immediately felt like we were on a mini vacation instead of 10 minutes from traffic and chaos. 10/10 vibes.
Sam took care of us and deserves a raise, a hug, and possibly her own fan club. Service was that good.
We started with a cappuccino and a Tahitian vanilla latte that tasted like a tropical vacation had a baby with caffeine. I would drink that latte daily if I had no self-control (working on it).
Then…the cornbread. Skillet-baked, warm, buttery, honey-drizzled perfection. Honestly? It’s giving “cake in disguise” and I am NOT mad about it. I would trust this cornbread with my life.
My friend got the traditional breakfast—eggs, bacon, sourdough—classic, no notes. Meanwhile, I ordered the Cobb salad and was personally attacked by how good it was.
This was not a “light lunch” salad. This was a commitment. Chicken for days. Avocado. Bacon. Gorgonzola. Heirloom tomatoes. And a Dijon dressing that needs to be bottled and sold immediately.
I haven’t been here in a while, but consider me back. Permanently. Emotionally. Financially.
Send help (or more cornbread).
