you land on Balboa Island and don’t stop at Wilma’s Patio… well, I’m not saying you’re doing life wrong, but you’re definitely missing out on some serious edible joy.
Sheri (Wilma’s daughter) runs the place now, and trust me, she’s carrying the torch like a culinary Olympian. The patio is sunny, breezy, and dog-approved — so your pooch can judge your ordering skills while you debate pancakes vs. meatloaf sandwich.
🥞 Breakfast:
- Pancakes, waffles, French toast — aka, the “carb trifecta.” Comes with syrup and whipped butter, aka dessert for breakfast and we’re not mad about it.
- Eggs Benedict with ham. Warning: you’ll dream about this one later.
🥪 Lunch:
- Meatloaf sandwich: warm, melty, on Parmesan grilled sourdough. Honestly, this sandwich could run for mayor and win.
- Cottage fries: crispy little potato miracles.
- Bacon cheddar burger: with bacon so thick it probably pays rent.
- Prime rib dip + onion soup: basically a hug you can eat.
Service is so warm and friendly you’ll forget you’re not actually a local — though by your third plate of cottage fries, you might as well be.
