🍽️ My Experience at Zankou Chicken

For years I’ve said:
“It’s on the wrong side of the street.”
“It looks like just takeout.”
“I don’t have time.”

All lies.

Last night, our WiFi went down and Tesla needed 50 minutes for an update (because of course it did). There was a Tesla service center across the street…so we walked into Zankou.

And everything changed.

The service? Shockingly friendly.
Like…so nice you abandon your entire “why am I tipping an order taker” philosophy and just tip anyway.

The vibe? Let’s be honest—it’s simple.
We sat next to a screaming child fully committed to chaos.
Didn’t matter.

⭐ The Food

Let’s talk about the real star—THE FOOD.

The half rotisserie chicken:

👉 Juicy, perfectly cooked, crispy skin—exactly what you want.

The basmati rice:

👉 I don’t know what they’re doing to this rice…
but it might be the best I’ve ever had.
Chicken drippings? Magic? Both?

The chicken kabob + hummus:

👉 Flavorful, satisfying, and that hummus??
Smooth, rich, and absolutely doing the most.

Everything came with oversized, hot, fresh pita—because of course it did.

At some point we stopped noticing everything around us and just focused on the food…which honestly tells you everything.

🙌 Service

Genuinely warm and welcoming—way better than expected.
