Have you ever eaten a cookie so good you question every life choice that led you to not eating it sooner? Because Zooies did that to me today. Yes, it’s inside a gas station on National Blvd. (which sounds sketchy, I know), but once you step inside it’s basically Willy Wonka’s cookie factory.
My taste buds fell in love three times:
- Brown Butter Chocolate Chip – crispy edges, chewy middle, and so much buttery, chocolatey goodness I considered writing it a love letter.
- Carmelate – a butter cookie base smothered with homemade caramel and semi-sweet chocolate… basically a candy bar’s more sophisticated cousin.
- Yellow Brick Road – oatmeal + butterscotch = the cookie equivalent of a warm hug from grandma (but with more swagger).
The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is “cookie church”—where I went to worship and left full of sugar and joy. If you’re in Beverlywood, go. If you’re not in Beverlywood… gas up, because it’s worth the drive.
